Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic

The Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic works with clients who wish to change their identification documents so that they more accurately reflected their gender identity or expression and to Indigenous, Inuit, and Metis Peoples who wish to change their identification documents to better align with their Indigenous identity or relations.

The Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic can assist with:

  • Navigating the application process;
  • Form filling support;
  • Troubleshooting complex issues;
  • Funding the costs associated with the application process (for low-income participants);
  • Commissioning and mailing applications;
  • Providing referrals to community resources and services

The Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic operates on an as-needed basis.
