Confidentiality

All information that you give us about your legal problem is confidential – whether we are providing you with advice, making a referral or representing you at a court or tribunal.

The only exception to the rule on confidentiality occurs when a lawyer receives information from you and believes on reasonable grounds that there is an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to you or others, and disclosure is necessary to prevent the death or harm.

We may get a request from Legal Aid Ontario to prove that our clients are financially eligible. In that case, we would provide the financial information without your name or contact details.
