Public funding, for-profit delivery: The impact on our health care system Town Hall

The Peterborough Health Coalition invites you to join us at The Mount Community Centre, 1545 Monaghan Rd, on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 pm for an insightful discussion on the effects of publicly funded but for-profit delivery of our health care system. A public engagement event – Where do we go from here to stop this privatization train wreak?

Andrew Longhurst, research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) and author of “At What Cost: Ontario hospital privatization and the threat to public health care” will be our speaker.

His talk, entitled Public funding, for-profit delivery: outsourcing, corporate strategy, and the fight against two-tier health care will set the stage for a lively discussion. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how our healthcare system operates and how it can be improved for the benefit of all.
